Business Development Executive – Public Sector Focus
 
Role Overview
We’re looking for a proactive Business Development Executive to join a leading provider of technology and digital training solutions. This company delivers apprenticeships, bootcamps, and commercial courses across a wide range of tech disciplines (such as AI, cloud, cyber security, data, digital transformation, and more) and serves over 4,000 organisations
 
What You’ll Do

  • Identify and develop opportunities across the public sector—including local councils, NHS trusts, emergency services, housing associations, universities, colleges, and schools (all public sector excluding central government).
  • Drive outbound sales efforts, creating pipelines and securing new clients.
  • Target organisations that are seeking high-quality digital and tech training solutions tailored to public sector needs.

What We’re Looking For

  • 1 to 5 years of sales or business development experience (ideal for a candidate looking to grow into a strategic role).
  • A proactive, confident communicator with the ability to engage decision-makers across varied public-sector organisations.
  • Experience in a B2B (preferably public-sector) sales environment—cold calling, lead generation, and relationship-building skills are key.
  • Self-starter mentality with resilience, adaptability, and a drive to hit targets.

What You’ll Get

  • Salary: £28,000-£34,000 base
  • OTE (Year 1): £12,000 (but uncapped)
  • Location: Partially office-based (3 days/week in Leeds), with flexibility for remote work and travel to client sites as required.
